Dr Natasa Zarovni – Exosomics Siena SpA, Italy
Dr Natasa Zarovni is a member of Exosomics Sienna’s core executive team from the company foundation. She is responsible for all Exosomics internal and external R&D activities including development and management of strategic partnerships and collaborations with academic and industrial parties. Dr Zarovni held a position of Head of R&D activities in Hansabiomed SrL, Estonia, where she has leaded development and release of products for research use, biomarker verification studies and protocols and devices analytical validation. She will be responsible for delivering specialised training course & hosting secondments.
Dr Pedro Ferreira – Ipatimup/i3S – University of Porto, Portugal
Dr Pedro Ferreira is a Bioinformatician and a Principal Investigator at Ipatimup. Dr Ferreira is involved in 4 major international consortia, ENCODE “The Encyclopedia Of DNA Elements”, ICGCCLL “The International Cancer Genome Consortium”, GEUVADIS “Genetic European Variation in Health and Disease” and GTEx “Genotype-Tissue Expression Project” and has privileged access to NGS data that feeds his research objectives. He has been involved in co-supervision of Bioinformatics projects for several MSc & UG students. P Ferreira will host ESR11 for 4 months and will share private sequencing datasets of derived nucleic acids as well as expertise in its analysis.
Dr Tina van den Broeck – BD Biosciences, Belgium
Dr Tina Van Den Broeck is a Scientific Affairs Scientist within the BD Biosciences Market & Business Development group. She has worked at BD Biosciences’ Erembodegem site for four years supporting contract research agreements (including some in the field of EV) and diagnostic assay development and will be responsible for delivering specialised training course & hosting secondments.
Prof Mathias Ulbricht – University Duisburg-Essen, Germany
Prof. Mathias Ulbricht is full professor for industrial chemistry at the chemistry department of UDE. He is an internationally well-known expert in membrane science and engineering. Core competences of his group are the development of polymer-based coatings or surface modifications with various functionalities such as antifouling, molecular recognition or bioactive. These activities are combined with the profound expertise in the preparation and surface functionalization of polymeric or hybrid separation membranes leading to materials with advanced or entirely novel performances. He will be responsible for delivering specialised training course & hosting secondments.
